As part of our past survey results, members indicated that they would like the Guild to organise retreats.
However, timing, cost and distance can prove problematic in getting enough support to make these events worthwhile.
Another option would be to have a Sewing Marathon for 12 hours in Melbourne which would provide a day out, at a reasonable cost, which would allow people to return home if necessary.
Where better to hold this than GJ’s Discount Fabrics in Brunswick?
We have had preliminary discussions with Georgia from GJs and this is a feasible option.
